We are Northlands new and innovative glulaminated timber manufactures. We produce glulaminated timber beams, posts, exposed truss, pergolas, carving pieces and more. Alongside Northlam, our founding company Kiwi Carpentry has a variety of skill sets available to turn your glulaminated products into so much more. The only limit is your imagination.

Northlam are proud to be locally owned and operated, supplying the North with glulaminated timber beams and posts for the residential and commercial building market. We have an excellent reputation for solving problems and thinking outside the box.

About us
Northlam came about as an opportunity when Roger from Northern Timber Laminates retired and wanted to sell his laminating plant and machinery. A Kerikeri sales representative got in contact with us knowing our timber joinery background. He suggested we would be the perfect company to keep producing glulaminated beams here in Northland. Thus, Northlam was born in April 2023. We bought the gear, shipped it up to our joinery factory in Kaitaia and are now certified to produce glulaminated beams up to 15 metres long.

Community Projects
We love seeing what we've made out in the community. Be it entrance signs, traditional carvings, furniture and more.
In compliance with the Building Regulations 1992, Northlam are audited and certified by Grade Right New Zealand to manufacture our products to the following standards: • AS/NZS 1328:1998:1 Glued laminated structural timber Part 1: Performance requirements and minimum production requirements;• AS 5068:2006 Timber Finger joints in structural products.
